GasStations Partners with AT Group to Upgrade Listing System

We are proud to announce a new partnership agreement with the AT Group that will greatly enhance the user experience on the GasStations.com website. The AT Group is a technology company that has serviced the business brokering industry for many years. Their services include web design, hosting, email services and broker listing services.

As a result of our agreement, the AT Group will be replacing our existing listing service mechanism with their proprietary business-for-sale listing service. The result will be a faster, more intuitive, more secure, and cleaner looking listing experience which continues to focus on gas stations and convenience stores.

In addition to providing their listing technology, the AT Group has also added GasStations.com to their expanding network of OneList websites. For the gas station buyer, this means a whole influx of new gas stations for sale on our website. For the business broker, this means that your gas stations for sale can now be automatically included on GasStations.com when you join the OneList network.

This is definitely exciting news. Convenience and ease-of-use for our seller members and even more gas stations for sale for our buyer members. This agreement serves as part of our effort to keep GasStations.com as a premiere destination to buy or sell gas stations and convenience stores. Pay-For-Usage Business Model Set to Begin August 1, 2009

As a result of several economic and extracurricular industry factors, GasStations.com has decided to implement a pay-for-usage business model for our website. Since our launch on November 2007 and up until this point, GasStations.com has been a free resource for the gas station community. However, in order to continue our services and to keep providing buyers and sellers with a place to find businesses for sale, we must implement measures to keep the website and services commercially sustainable.

Beginning on August 1st, 2009 we will be requiring a $9.95 per month membership fee for all new and active members. While we realize that many long-time users will object to this decision, we feel confident that changes we are making to the site (e.g. the partnership with AT Group) will prove to be immeasurably valuable to all our members.

New members should not encounter any difficulty since the payment method is built into the registration process. However, existing users will need to visit our checkout page and make payment before being granted access to their existing account.

Please note that the membership fee will only be required of those individuals who elect to list/post businesses for sale and those who wish to contact the sellers. All the other features (browsing listings, community forum, gas tracker, lottery tracker...etc.) will remain free. APS Partners with PCI Compliance Vendor

American Payment Systems has announced that hey have partnered with ControlScan in order to help it's member merchants adhere to the PCI compliance regulations.

American Payment Systems is the provider of the Super Pump card, a three-in-one discount, loyalty, and payment card gaining popularity among gas station merchants. Equipment Listings Being Phased Out

Finally, as part of our effort to establish GasStations.com as a premiere business-for-sale website for gas stations and convenience stores, we will be phasing out our listing system for gas station equipment. The new system provided by the AT Group will not support equipment listings and we have decided not to run our equipment listing system in parallel with the new business listing system.

For the two or three people who actually listed some equipment for sale, I guess I can only say...sorry.
